For our Belgian client – the largest multifunctional terminal in Europe, servicing Grimaldi Group vessels and specializing in various types of cargo: from containers, through project cargo and heavy lifts, to cars – we are looking for candidates ready to work in the following position:



Diagnostician – Mechanical Technician (F/M)

Scope of responsibilities
  • Performing diagnostics on new vehicles to detect mechanical and electronic faults
  • Analyzing errors and determining appropriate corrective actions
  • Supporting the team in daily service and preparation work
  • Ensuring the quality, safety, and precision of performed tasks
  • Reporting results and completed work to the supervisor
  • Operating a forklift (if holding a valid certificate)
  • Working independently while collaborating with the team

 

Sought-after competences
  • Electromechanical education or experience in a similar position
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a technician/mechanic
  • Communicative English skills
  • Certificate of no criminal record
  • Forklift certificate – preferred
  • Stress resistance, independence, and a practical approach to work
  • Teamwork skills, technical acumen
  • Critical thinking with a focus on safety
  • Ability to communicate clearly and raise concerns

We offer
  • Employment under Belgian conditions (work for people from the EU and outside the EU)
  • Guaranteed 38 hours of work per week
  • Rate: €20–€24.50/h (hourly rate depending on experience)
  • Weekly salary - €565–€645 net
  • Food vouchers - €8/day of work
  • Holiday allowance - approximately €6,100 gross (15.38% of annual salary) gross annual earnings)
  • Annual bonus - approximately €3,300 gross (8.33% of gross annual earnings) - provided you work at least 65 days between July of the current year and June of the following year.
  • Possibility of using company accommodation - €102/week (double room), €154/week (single room)
  • Possibility of purchasing additional health insurance - €9 per month.
