Our client is a Dutch restaurant located in Middelburg. In the summer, the city attracts many tourists from the Netherlands and Germany. The restaurant's menu is characterized by high quality, and most of the products are prepared on site. The restaurant has a large terrace, which is popular during the season.

We are currently looking for candidates—preferably a pair of chefs—for the position:

Scope of responsibilities
  • Preparing and serving meals according to the menu
  • Working closely with the team and the dining staff to ensure efficient service
  • Managing inventory, supporting ingredient ordering, and controlling costs in accordance with the hotel's purchasing procedures
  • Producing meals according to standards, guidelines, and recipes
  • Working efficiently during peak hours while maintaining high quality, speed, and consistency of dishes
  • Strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
Sought-after competences
  • Vocational education, preferably in a specialized field
  • Experience in a similar position as a cook or chef de partie
  • Good command of English
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing international environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Focus on guest satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards of service
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Category B driving license
