For our client - a family-owned company from Belgium dealing with transport and logistics in Belgium and the Netherlands - we are looking for candidates for the position:

 

Trailer mechanic

Workplace: Stekene, Belgium

engine repair, vehicle diagnostics, car maintenance, oil change, brake system repair, car service, technical inspections, suspension repair, computer diagnostics, parts replacement, engine tuning, exhaust system repair, vehicle mechanics, vehicle servicing, gearbox repair, drive system repair, alignment, car electrical repair, spare parts installation, workshop work

Scope of responsibilities
  • Trailer repair and maintenance
  • Daily preparation of trailers for departure (checking brakes, tires, door closing, etc.)
  • Performing minor repairs on an ongoing basis (including welding)
  • Work in a 2-person team
  • Day shift work (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
  • 3/1 shift work - 3 weeks on, 1 week off (possible return to Poland)
Sought-after competences
  • Technical education
  • Minimum one year of experience as a car/truck/agricultural machinery mechanic
  • Independence and accuracy
  • Willingness to learn and improve skills
  • Manual and technical skills
  • Category B driving license
  • Knowledge of English is an advantage
We offer
  • Employment under Belgian conditions
  • Guaranteed 38 hours of work per week
  • Salary: €17.64 gross/hour (approx. €500 net/week)
  • Holiday allowance - 15.38% of gross annual earnings
  • Annual bonus - 8.33% of gross annual earnings – provided you work at least 65 days between July of the current year and June of the following year.
  • Food voucher in the amount of €3.22 gross daily
  • Possible overtime work (approx. 50 hours per week), sometimes additional work on Saturday mornings
  • Support from a Polish coordinator

  • Work in a 3/1 system (3 weeks on, 1 week off) - the employer offers free buses to northern Poland
